The first task is to confirm your suitability. During your free assessment your dentist will assess your mouth, gums and bone structure, taking an X-ray of the area where your teeth are missing. You’ll also have a CT bone density scan so that we can accurately evaluate the area where the dental implants need to be placed.
Equipped with the results of your X-rays and scans, plus our notes from our discussion, we will present you with your personalised treatment plan. Your dentist will explain their recommendations fully and explain in detail the full process, so that you can be confident you are getting the best treatment.
Using high-tech virtual guides for the greatest accuracy, we will plan the placement of your implants. Planning with the help of computerised imaging ensures that the dental implant can be placed in exactly the right position.
Once we have planned your surgery, you’re ready for your full jaw dental implant placement. Don’t worry if you’re nervous at this point; At New Life teeth we offer you conscious IV sedation free of charge ensuring a pain free experience.
After your surgery, it’s important to give the bone and gum around the implants time to heal. Healing usually takes around three to five months, after which time the implant becomes integrated with the bone around it, providing a strong and stable platform for your new Zirconia bridge.

Dental implant treatment is always carried out under local anaesthetic by our highly skilled and gentle dentists here at New Life Teeth, to ensure you are comfortable. Following the dental implant procedure, you may feel some soreness for a few days, but this is easily managed with a soft diet and over-the-counter painkillers and it should soon fade.
No. Once a Prettau Bridge is fitted, it remains permanently attached to your dental implants and therefore part of your mouth, so it won’t move or slip as conventional dentures can. It is designed, however, to be removed by your dentist for maintenance purposes when required.
Cleaning your implants is as simple as caring for your natural teeth, with regular brushing and flossing. It’s important to clean between your implant bridge and gums once a day with a water flosser.
